Before that, OkX Wallet released OnchainOS and continued to open up the Agent capabilities and launched a new Agentic Wallet. As AI becomes the new User Interface, what will happen when Agent, as a chain participant, begins to trade autonomously, engages in governance, and the role of a block chain like the Taifaf

A new interactive paradigm is emerging at the intersection of AI and Web3。

This is the "Friends of OkX Wallet" series -- Carnival. Through dialogue with different builders, the series documents their judgments and reflections at key industry nodes. During this period, OKX Wallet VP Paul Wan will be talking about Vitalik, looking around the long-term trends of AI and Web3 and the bottom structure, trying to understand what role the block chains will play in the age of Agent。

IN THE ERA OF AI, THE ROLE OF THE TAIFENG AND THE ZONE CHAIN EVOLVED

Question one: What are the original language that must be provided by the chain operating system in the Agent era? What else is missing at the Ether House today

Vitalik:

I see it this way. One of the two main features of the application is a bulletin board, in which anyone can publish data on the chain and interpret them in many different ways; the other is a chain-based and bottom-link calculation, which includes financial applications, DeFi and various other applications。

IN THE AI ERA, THESE USES REMAIN ESSENTIALLY THE SAME, AND THE SAME USES REMAIN THE SAME, AND THESE FUNCTIONS CAN CONTINUE TO BE IMPORTANT。BUT AI WILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY WE INTERACT WITH THE BLOCK CHAINS AND OTHER TOOLS。

ONE IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE IS THAT, IN THE EARLY YEARS OF THE BLOCK CHAIN, USERS INTERACT THROUGH AN INTERFACE THAT CORRESPONDS TO A SPECIFIC THING; AND IN THE AI WORLD, ESPECIALLY IN THE PRESENT AND THE NEXT FEW YEARS, YOU CAN HAVE A USER-SIDE AI TO CALL ON THESE DIFFERENT SKILLS, GROUP THINGS TOGETHER ONCE AND FOR ALL, AND INTERACT WITH MANY DIFFERENT OBJECTS。

THIS HAS ALSO RESULTED IN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF WORK STREAMS INTERACTING WITH THE ETHERAK AND OTHER SYSTEMS. SO, IN MY VIEW, THE METAPHOR OF “OPERATING SYSTEMS” IS NOT ENTIRELY RELEVANT IN SOME WAYS. THE OPERATING SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO EXIST, BUT IT WILL BECOME SMALLER AND SIMPLER; AT THE SAME TIME, WE WILL HAVE A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT TOOLS AND SKILLS THAT AI WILL HELP USERS TO USE AND DO。Block chains are a natural option that allows for the application of multi-stakeholder collaboration and allows for long-term effective collaboration between different participants without prior confidence-building or agreement。

Another key point is the Economic Layer. If AI is decentralised, there are many different AI entities that are constructed and controlled by different people and that need to interact with each other; an economic layer is needed to make this interaction possible. Because cooperation is based either on economic incentives and rules or on centralized controls, both of which are by nature。

IF WE CAN PUT THIS ECONOMIC SYSTEM TOGETHER, IT'LL MAKE IT EASIER FOR AI TO INTERACT IN A DECENTRALISED WAY. JUST AS A COMPLETE OPERATING SYSTEM CONTAINS BOTH RUNNING TIME AND SOFTWARE AND INFRASTRUCTURE BUILT ON IT。In the new economic system with Agent at its core, we need a mechanism to find, define and match the right Agent。At the same time, users, as well as users' Agents, can be involved in interacting with each other and building their own Skills, MCP, CLIs and strategies。

Question two: What do you think of L2 in the HF Agent trading scene

Vitalik:

L2 IS IMPORTANT, BUT WE NEED MORE IMAGINATION IN THE WAY WE BUILD L2. THE PAST PRACTICE OF SIMPLY REPLICATING EVM AND EXPANDING IT IS NOT IDEAL. A BETTER WAY TO COMPLEMENT THE CAPABILITIES THAT L1 DOES NOT PROVIDE IS TO START WITH APPLICATION NEEDS. IDEALLY, DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS SHOULD BE DISTRIBUTED AT DIFFERENT LEVELS: THE ACCOUNTS COULD BE PLACED IN L1, WHILE HF TRANSACTIONS AND BLENDS COULD BE PLACED IN L2。

In additionL2 CAN ALSO PERFORM PRIVACY FUNCTIONSTornado Cash, Railgun, Privacy Pools, etc., can be considered in a sense “private L2”. There will be more L2 programmes in the future in different directions。

Reconstructing the relationship between humans and intelligence

Question three: How should we redefine the users when Agent is free to trade, hold assets and even participate in governance? In particular, from the perspective of chain governance, how do you think mechanisms should be redesigned for these non-human players

Vitalik:

PERSONALLY, I STILL SEE PEOPLE AS USERS, I SEE AI AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO UI, A NEW WAY OF INTERACTING WITH THE CHAIN。

It can be understood that before AI appears, you may need to get information through several tools, such as Google, Wikipedia, Stack OverFlow, and now you can ask a question directly to AI, which will do it and give results. This change will soon also occur on the interlocking of blocks。

This means that our perception of infrastructure attributes will change, such as delays. In human interactions, low delays are usually very important; for Agent, however, some scenarios require very low delays, while others are not really important, such as complex issues that can wait longer。

THIS DIFFERENCE CHANGES THE WAY WE THINK ABOUT THE INTERFACE. IN THE CASE OF WALLETS, FOR EXAMPLE, IT REMAINS THE SDK, I.E. THE API LAYER (E.G. TRANSFER, QUERY, PRIVACY OPERATION); HOWEVER, THE PRODUCT PATTERN SURROUNDING IT MAY CHANGE AND USERS MAY NOT EVEN USE THE WALLET DIRECTLY, BUT INTERACT WITH SDK。

So we'll see a series of carefully sharpened software packages with strong security and formalised authentication capabilities, and Skills files, to be called by AI. So I think there's going to be a very big change between the block chain and the user level。

Question four: How should we rethink the identity of the chain if the actor of a transaction may be a combination of people, Agent or both? Is it possible to construct a unified framework that applies to both humans, Agent and mixed scenes

Vitalik:

The key to establishing the chain is the dismantling of the identity, which only proves the information necessary to complete a certain interaction。In most cases, full disclosure is meaninglessA more rational approach would be to reveal only part of the information, such as proof of reputation or source of funds through zero knowledge。

At the same time, there is a need to make chain behaviour and assets more susceptible to zero-knowledge certification and to make wallets better able to help users manage privacy data. Different applications should be implemented in different ways, meeting needs while preserving user information to the extent possible。

The construction of a unified framework applicable to humans and Agent is feasible. Agent is free to judge how tasks are assigned to different L2s, whose reasoning is not fundamentally different from that of humans, so the market will gradually find a more rational distribution。

Agent product and primary standard evolution path

Question five: What's a good Agent product experience

Vitalik:

Speaking of a good Agent product, it should be intuitive, operating as part of a larger ecology, rather than trying to take over the entire life of the user. At the same time, high priority must be given to privacy and security, where many systems remain deficient。

IDEALLY, WE NEED MORE AI ALIGNED WITH THE INTERESTS OF THE USERS, WHO ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH A SINGLE COMPANY OR APPLICATION BUT ACT ON BEHALF OF THE USERS. THIS CAN REDUCE ATTACKS AND EXPLOITATION. AT THE SAME TIME, APPLICATIONS NEED TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH EXISTING USER CONFIGURATIONS, SUPPORT PERSONALIZATION AND INTERACT WITH OTHER TOOLS TO ENSURE SECURITY. IF YOU CAN DO ALL THAT, IT'S IDEAL。

Question six: What is the direction of the wallet in Age Age Agent

Vitalik:

AI, on the one hand, can be used to construct the ETA itself, for example, by formalizing certification to improve safety, which may even become necessary in the future; on the other hand, it can be used as the Agent wallet to integrate capabilities in a way that guarantees privacy and security。

IF THIS EXPERIENCE DEPENDS ON THIRD-PARTY SERVERS, TRUE DECENTRIZATION AND PRIVACY CANNOT BE ACHIEVED. THERE IS ALSO A NEED TO LIMIT AI BEHAVIOUR, WHICH IS ALSO THE ROLE OF WALLETS IN RISK CONTROL. MORE IMPORTANTLY, THE ETA SHOULD NOT BE SEEN AS AN ISOLATED SYSTEM, BUT SHOULD BE INTEGRATED INTO A GLOBAL AI THAT HELPS USERS AT THE OPERATIONAL SYSTEM LEVEL TO PERFORM A VARIETY OF TASKS, INCLUDING CHAIN INTERACTION, INTERNET SEARCH AND LOCAL DATA MANAGEMENT, AND THINK FROM A HOLISTIC PERSPECTIVE。

Question 7: How should public goods mechanisms evolve in the Agent economy? What's the future of Native Age Standard

Vitalik:

Public goods finance is essentially a matter of governance, which requires defining stakeholders. Every person behind Agent is still the man who runs it, so people are always the core. AI and ZK offer new possibilities for governance, but AI also reduces the cost of attacks and makes many mechanisms more vulnerable to automatic attacks, and this is a direction that needs to be continuously explored and iterative。

There is not yet a fully defined form for the original criteria for Agent, but an important direction is ZK Payments and ZK API. Its core objective is that, whatever type of API request is initiated, each request is itself private and completely isolated from each other。

THIS IS CRUCIAL BECAUSE, IN THE AI CONTEXT, EVEN IF PSEUDONYMS OR ANONYMOUS IDENTITIES ARE USED, AS LONG AS THEY PERSIST, THEY WILL EVENTUALLY BE RE-IDENTIFIED AS INFORMATION ACCUMULATES, THUS LOSING PRIVACY. THERE IS THEREFORE A NEED FOR INSTITUTIONAL ASSURANCE THAT THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN EACH REQUEST。

the key to achieving this is to use zero-knowledge proof, while avoiding chaining each request, otherwise costs and delays will become unacceptable. while some of the delays could be tolerated, the high cost remained a problem that must be addressed. on this basis, it may also be possible to combine the bond mechanism (bonding/staking) without compromising privacy, while preventing user-side and application-side abuses. much more is being done in this direction。

Concluding remarks
